Brian Escavage is a rhythym percussionist from severn, maryland who has
been experimenting with rhythym and sound as well as studying ethnomusicology
and art since 1995. Drawing inspiration from latin and jazz artists, he has
been influenced musically by the likes of Pancho Sanchez, Tito Puente, Airto
Moreira, and R. Carlos Nakai. His talents have been featured, along with
those of other local artists, in such groups as: Debt of Nature, Roots a
Risin, Ed Wood, The Immortal Sound, and now The Bubba Quintet. Brian's style
includes a mixture of latin, african, and brazillian percussion as well as
other ethnic instruments such as the native american cedar flute. As long as
the music is flowing he is sure to be riding the wave. |
